Reviews highlight the generous portion sizes and incredible flavors that keep patrons returning for another taste. One satisfied customer, Elwira Shaheen, aptly noted it as the "best Italian food" she has ever had, praising the incredible taste and large servings. Mark Bain echoed this sentiment, celebrating the vibrant atmosphere and "out of this world" dishes, proving that Golden Italy is a must-visit destination, just a subway ride from Rome.
While the food receives rave reviews, the service can sometimes be a hit or miss, as mentioned by another diner. However, the welcoming demeanor of the owner and some staff shines through, balancing out any unfortunate moments. Nevertheless, the consistent quality of food ensures that the dining experience remains enjoyable.
In conclusion, Golden Italy stands as a beacon of authentic Roman cuisine in Lido di Ostia. This place packs up with locals and the food is spectacular. A must visit just minutes from the subway line to Rome. We explored 5 dishes and all were out of this world. Big portions and fair prices.

Hi. I was here on August 28th at 7:30 PM. Unfortunately I have to take off one star for the service. The food is great, the place is great, the selection is great. But there was one waiter in a black shirt, with black hair combed back. He was unpleasant and slightly arrogant. When he brought us a hot pizza, he put it in our hand until it almost fell all over me and left immediately. He didn't come to our table at all and didn't take anything away. The lady who runs it or the owner is an absolutely wonderful woman. It's a great shame about the unpleasant service in this establishment.

I don't speak any Italian apart from "gracie" and "vino rosso" but the staff know more than enough English. Superb family restaurant. I can thoroughly recommend it if you are in Ostia.

Service was attentiv, seefood was fresh, pasta was (almost) al dente. Pasta sauce was well flavoured with the seefood. Beer was fine. Italian behaviour was not overwhelming, much more nice for an outlander. I recommend this place.
